We invite you to the first Rijeka Cognitive Sciences Symposium.
This year's topic is Social Cognition. The invited talks on the 14th July will focus on the cognitive processes involved in reasoning about others' mental states.
The student symposium on the 13th of July invites talks and posters from across the Cognitive Sciences.
The 2-day event at the University of Rijeka InnovaLab and is free to attend. Coffee, cold drinks, and snacks will be provided at the event.

The student symposium brings together Masters students of the Masters in Cognitive Sciences: Cognition and the Mind programme and Masters and doctoral students of other study programmes to present their work.
Applications are now open for both oral and poster presentations on topics covering a broad range of topics connected to Cognitive Sciences. Please apply by 31st May 2026. You will be notified of the outcome by 6th June.
Presentation Details:
Oral presentations will be 10 minutes, with an additional 5 minutes for questions.
Poster presentations will be presented in multiple sessions, each one likely lasting around 1.5 hours. All oral presentations and posters must be in English. Posters will be in A1 format. We will be able to print out and cover the costs for all accepted posters.
The symposium on Social Cognition will be an opportunity to discuss the latest developments in Social Cognition research. The symposium will focus specifically on the cognitive processes that are involved in reasoning about others' mental states and perspectives.
The second day of this event is part of the uniri-iz-25-216 project "Representations of Self and Other Perspectives": Funded by the European Union - NextGenerationEU.
