EmailResearch Overview
My general research interests involve ethics and political philosophy. Specifically, my research focuses on the public justification of public decisions and values. I apply the method of public reason in Rawls’s shape to some questions and in Gaus’s version to other topics.
The Rawlsian version of public reason is applied to questions that involve the basic structure of society and issues of social justice. Some of these questions are related to enhancement of human capacities, where, for example, there appear issues of fair distribution of advantages, or general topics of political and personal freedoms. The Gausian form of public reason is endorsed when public decisions involve personal matters, like those that relate to values that we employ to determine what disorders are.
